Introducing Alexandra Gabriella Gheorghe as the New Editor-in-Chief of the PMI Journal

15/10/2024

We are pleased to announce that Alexandra Gabriella Gheorghe, MD, PhD, is joining the PMI Journal as the new Editor-in-Chief.

Alexandra is a forensic pathologist trained in autopsies and pathology. Since 2012, she has participated in routine diagnostic pathology, specializing in pediatric and cardiovascular pathology. She has also worked with postmortem CT-angiography and coronary pathology.

Currently, Alexandra is focusing on establishing a collaboration with Rigshospitalet’s Department of Pathology, specifically in pediatric lung pathology and signs of breathing.

As Editor-in-Chief, Alexandra will work alongside her colleagues to oversee the journal’s editorial direction, ensuring that all content meets high academic standards. She will play a key role in guiding the peer review process, shaping the journal’s focus, and supporting its growth and reputation in the scientific community. Alexandra will be serving in this role alongside Thomas Bjarnsholt and Peter Østrup Jensen.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Louise Kruse Jensen for her many years of dedication as Editor-in-Chief. Her work has contributed to the growth and success of the PMI Journal, and we are thankful for her commitment.

Please join us in welcoming Alexandra Gabriella Gheorghe to this new role!
