How do you celebrate 100 years of publishing excellence?
On Thursday, April 11, 2024, editors, authors, and editorial staff from around the world gathered at the Medical Museion in Copenhagen to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Journal of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology. The event began with a warm welcome from one of the three editors-in-chief, Thomas Bjarnsholt, followed by a celebratory lecture by Adam Bencard, Lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, Medical Museion. This was followed by a museum tour of the two exhibitions “The Body Collected” and “Mind the Gut.” The event concluded with an anniversary reception, where attendees had the opportunity to view one of the earliest editions of the PMI Journal (then known as “Acta Pathologica et Microbiologica Scandinavica”), share old and new anecdotes about working with the historical journal, and raise a champagne toast to the impressive anniversary.
