Contribute to Groundbreaking Research in Biofilm and Biofouling Control
PMI is excited to announce a Call for Papers for a special issue on Recent Developments in Biofilms and Biofouling Control (BBC 2024). This is an excellent opportunity for researchers and industry professionals to share their latest findings and contribute to the advancement of this critical field.

Why Submit?
Biofilms and biofouling remain pressing challenges in medical, industrial, and environmental settings. Their ability to enhance microbial survival, resist antimicrobial agents, and thrive under extreme conditions makes them a major concern for global health and biotechnology. This special issue will bring together cutting-edge research on novel strategies to understand, control, and combat biofilms and biofouling, with a particular focus on antimicrobial resistance.

About the Special Issue
This special issue is linked to the 1st DAE-BRNS International Conference on Recent Developments in Biofilms and Biofouling Control (BBC-2024), which took place on 12-14 December 2024 and was organized by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Kalpakkam, India. Building on the insights shared at the conference, the issue will feature original research articles and reviews on biofilm biology, AMR, and innovative antimicrobial strategies.

Key Topics Include:

  • In vitro and in vivo biofilm studies
  • Biofilm biology, infectious agents, and extracellular polymeric substances (EPS)
  • Biofilm control agents and therapeutic applications
  • Novel antimicrobial strategies
  • Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), biofilm tolerance, and resistance mechanisms
  • Candida biofilms, infections, and control strategies

Submission Deadline:
Tuesday, 1 April 2025

Guest Editors:
Dr. Venkata Nancharaiah Yarlagadda, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, India
Dr. Padmavathi Alwar Ramanujam, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, India
